Best Android Games of the year – 2013

Ok, so you own an Android. Maybe it’s the Razr Maxx with the 7 year battery life, maybe it’s the “cheese o’ rama” version 1.6 Android from “General Manufacturing Company”. Whatever your Android device, there are a metric poop load of games for you to play. Here are a few games that may blow your mind, destroy your mind, or just drive you batty. Either way, you are going to love it.Best Android Games 2013

Minecraft Pocket Addition

Minecraft is more addictive than crack to some kids, who knows why, but those blocks dominate. The pocket edition is great; at night time, monsters will appear and will attack players as well as their creations. Players can jump in and out of other players’ worlds. The latest update of Minecraft Pocket Edition includes improved D-pad functionality, crash bugs, new titles, fancy clouds, new titles, and colorful sheep.

Candy Crush Saga

Here’s the part where I tell you about what Candy Crush Saga is and how it plays, but let’s face it, if you don’t know what this game is, or you haven’t’ watched someone play it by now, stop reading this article, and tell your mom that she needs to download it for you.

Coin Dozer

The goal of Coin Dozer is to push as many coins as you can forward into a slot at the center of the cabinet. When coins fall down the slot, it triggers a slot of machine reels. If you go to the fair just to win a pair of wind-up chattering teeth by feeding $20 info a coin-pushing machine, Coin Dozer will be highly entertaining. If you do a lot of waiting around for people or things, this game is also for you.

Temple Run

Temple Run has finally come to Android, but it’s been on iOS since 2011. The gist of the game is pretty simple. You have clearly trespassed on ancient ruins where you don’t belong and are now fleeing from a bunch of evil monkey creatures.

Fruit Ninja

The game is simple: fruit flies into the air and you must slice it before it falls. You do this by swiping across it with your finger. If it sounds too simple or boring, it is to some people. To other people, it’s mindless entertainment for hours waiting in the doctor’s office.

Ingress

The concept of this game is brilliant – Google found a way to get you, the end user, to send Google a ton of map information while you play a “game”. If you like collecting XM, hacking portals, and battling people in a game over a real life map, download this application.

Angry Birds Space or Angry Birds Star Wars

Either of these titles is bound to be spectacular, because they are birds that are angry, and there are more levels that are

Grand Theft Auto 3

Ten years after GTA3 carjacked the world and caused a moral panic among non-gamers, here’s hoping that many who were appalled then now have it in their pockets and are happily thieving and killing along with the rest of us. Who could resist a mobile death experience?

Prince of Persia Classic

Finally, here’s another old classic given a new lease of life thanks to Android. Beneath its slick new look, this is still the original, much-loved platform from the 1990’s, and no bad haircuts and grunge music. YAY!

So if you want some great games, check the list above. If you want some lame games, go to the Google Play store, download some random game, and don’t listen to me. It’s your choice.
