It’s somewhat impossible that your computer would have never troubled you. And if that has happened then definitely you would have troubleshot too. Though you use the well performed and tested methods of troubleshooting, still you need to be careful enough. At times people tend to ignore the tips but this may land them into a bigger hurdles.
So on a general basis I have come up with the necessary steps that you should keep in your mind while hardware troubleshooting. Following are mentioned below:
Power Cords
First thing that you need to worry is about the power cords. Just ensure that the power cords are appropriately plugged into their devices, and it’s necessary to check as it may be one of the reasons that you are facing the symptoms that have been troubling you. Now you need to trace the cords along the line directly to the wall and assure yourself that the other end of the cord is physically attached and connected to the power outlet or energy source.
Outlet Power
Blowing of a fuse isn’t a usual tendency, but this may happen. You need to check that whether the outlet that has malfunctioned is receiving power or not, and if that is the situation then probably other parts would also be lacking power too. To test this you don’t need to do big things, you just need to check whether the LEDs are lit or not. And in case you observe that none of the LEDs have lit then try plug-in in a well known working device of your choice to determine whether it is functioning well, like a radio or clock.
Power Button
This step isn’t a different step rather it works closely together with the earlier one. At times people tend to ignore this point because their devices are switched on almost all the time and that’s the main reason that they don’t verify the power buttons. But at times many devices are connected with two energy switches, so to ensure for your system to work well then make sure that both are in a switch-on position.
Communication Connections
Now when you have ensure that all the devices have been correctly plugged in, you need to ensure that your device is equipped with all the connections that are indeed needed to communicate. Now how to do this? You just need to check that these wires are well connected at each other and using the correct interface and port. Also it’s necessary to check internal connections. And in case your computer has been dropped or accidentely bumped it is possible for it to disconnect.
