Using Cinematographe, Auguste and Louis Lumière worked towards inventing a technology that could continuously feed film through a movie camera and project it to more than one viewer at a time.
Based on the concept of Thomas Alva Edison’s Kinetoscope camera which was invented four years prior to the Lumière brothers, this Cinematographe was more compact and weighed less than Thomas Alva Edison’s invention.
