The future does not always live up to expectations. Just ask anyone who has seen ‘Back to the Future II’. Hover boards? Whatever happened to hover boards? However, predicting it is still a lot of fun. And, sometimes, those predictions come true.

So what exactly will the world be like next year, in a decade or in a century from now? No one knows for sure, but some of the best predictions are found in the following infographic.

There are no hover boards (sorry). However, there are mammoths, cyborgs and digital immortality. And that’s just a start.

We’re all fascinated by the future, and even though we may not be around to see the developments made a hundred years from now, you may be surprised to find that some truly exciting developments are only just a few years away.

Many of the predictions have been made as a result of Moore’s Law. This is the one that states computing power will double every two years on average. So far, Moore’s Law has been proven correct, and the big mystery is whether it continues or not.

However, if it does continue, we can say one thing for certain about the future: it’s going to be a very exciting place to be.
