1- Change the Projection Bulb to Extend its Life

If your TV is in projection model and the life cycle has expired, changing the projection bulb is the answer. The symptom of bulb expiration can be seen from the LED that in many models of Panasonic TV will provide a sequence of flashing lights. Normally, you can access the bulb housing after removing the rear panel of your TV, but sometimes, the panel is placed at the side of the unit. Open the panel and remove the housing by removing the screws with screwdrivers. Change the bulb and reinsert the housing and secure it to the TV body. It will surely help you to solve the problem concerning the life time of your Panasonic TV.

2- Adjust Color and Brightness to Improve Picture Quality

The picture quality can be calibrated so that it fits your area of viewing. Normally, the picture quality of most TVs is defaulted for a showroom with bright lights. However, for your house, it may be a little too bright. You can use a calibration DVD or some DVD movies that contain significantly bright and dark scenes. Adjust the color and brightness aspect until you eyes feel comfortable. For TV with the ability to save multiple picture settings, you can use different modes for day and night watching.

3- Properly Check the Audio Connections

Checking the audio connection is important to make sure the connectivity of the devices to the TV. The audio menu may be different from one type to another type of TV. DLP audio settings, for the reasons of its better speakers, are usually more in depth. Check both the volume control and the speakers setting in the menu if the audio is low or does not produce a clear sound on a DLP. Meanwhile, a surround sound receiver may be needed for LCD TVs and other flat typed TVs because they are defaulted to have small speakers.

Thanks for the post. Changing the bulb is a must for sure.

I never used to think about changing brightness, but I now keep both my TV and PC monitor at a lower brightness level, and my eyes are all the better for it.
