Motorola released their first device this year after its acquisition by Google. The new mobile phone is designed and assembled in USA and it is exclusively available for people of United States only. Phone is being under contracts only so users can buy it after getting a token from AT&T, Verizon or other network provider.
Interesting thing in this device is that after getting the token you need to go to Moto X website and customise your device according to your need. You can view the prices of various accessories and after choosing all Motorola will ship you device within week. Another thing which makes the device popular is that it runs on almost stock version of Android and you can Access Google now without unlocking your device. All you need to do is say “Ok Google Now” and it starts operating.
It’s been while that device is in market and we got root for it recently. Follow the guide below for the same also you can view the video below for better understanding.
How to Root Moto X?
STEP #1
All you need to do is click on this link at XDA developers then download the “MotoRoot Apk file” for your specific device variant. Make sure that you have downloaded the Apk file for the variant of device you have otherwise it may be harmful.
STEP #2
Send that Apk file to your device either via USB cable or even wirelessly for that you can use “Air Droid” app. After transferring the file install it. Then open the app and click on “Setup” option.
Step #3
Your device will restart then. After it reboots head over to play store to download “SuperSU” app and that it your Moto X is rooted.
Important Notes
Here are some of the important notes you need to take care of.
- Do not uninstall MotoRoot application because if you do that then device will get unroot.
- Do not perform any Over The Air (OTA) update because doing so will remove root from your device.
- You need not to perform root process every time you reboot your device because this process is permanent.
- If you are rooting your device then you are completely responsible for any damage to your device. We have no responsibility to any damage.
