Ask nearly all of the people who own or have worked in a computer about what their most common fear are and one of the top answers that you would get would be viruses. In fact, plenty of computer support calls have been made just because of the complications that these can do.
That is why it is very important to learn more about viruses, worms and trojans. By being aware of them, you would be able to hold off on the IT support calls for fixing your computers by being able to prevent them from damaging your system.
When it comes to viruses, worms and Trojans, the most common mistake that people make is to lump them all together and interchange them. They would often call computer support hot-lines and tell them that they have a virus in their system, when in fact it is a Trojan that is attacking it. This confuses the IT support team and makes it difficult for them to provide support.
Thus, the most basic information about viruses, worms and Trojans that one needs to know is how to differentiate them:
Viruses
A virus is a harmful code that attaches itself to a file. Once this file is executed or run, the virus would then spread itself to your system. The effects of a virus can range from mild (just a few files not opening) to extremely dangerous where in your computer would not be able to boot up at all,
Worms
Worms are actually a sub class or subtype of a virus. They spread from computer to computer but are doing it without any form of user interaction. The worm is programmed so that once it had been executed into your system it would replicate itself and try to infect more areas of your computer and even those which are connected to you through a network.
Trojans
Trojans are a type of harmful software which is disguised as a legitimate one. Initially, they would appear as necessary software for your computer, but once installed they would proceed to spread and do harmful things to the system. These range from cosmetic changes to backdoors that allow remote users to access your files.
Of course, preventing all of these may prove to be difficult and your system may eventually fall to any of them. When this happens be sure to call computer repair Manchester services to help mitigate and minimize the troubles that it could provide.

That was really gold mine article. This headaches have been part of the online community and having a counterfeit for this one would mean a great margin for blog efficiency and ones machine of course. 😀
