There is a plethora of new mobile phones being introduced into the mobile phone market now-a-days. Smartphones, iPhones, Tablets… just to mention but a few are some of the most-recent releases in the mobile phone market. These phones come rich in the best features and functions that you definitely would love to get in any handset.
Even as each handset highlights these numerous features, many buyers rarely stress on the strength and quality of the batteries. The fact remains that batteries are one of the most important components in the mobile phone, and therefore, you need to consider that when you are making any purchase.
Much more than just a convenience, the use of mobile phones has recently become a necessity in this world of business and communication. It is a fact that we take it for granted the fact that we can call and receive calls to and from any location around the world. These functions cannot be achieved if at all you do not have a powerful battery in your mobile phone. The size and type of the battery determine the size, weight and the general performance of the mobile phone. As the mobile phones reduce in size over the years, so do the batteries.
There are many mobile phone configurations out there in the market. The distinction comes in the technology and material used to make the battery being used in the mobile phone. Here are some of these cell phone battery configurations:
Nickel Cadmium
There were the first widely used batteries in mobile phones. There are still many other devices, which make use of them. They have the ability to charge and come with a built in ability to charge. These batteries are less expensive but are prone to memory effects. Most discounted phones today use this battery.
Nickel Metal Hybrid
These are a variation of the former but rather exclude the cadmium component. Cadmium is known for being a toxic chemical, which led to cell phone battery disposal issues.
Lithium Ion
These batteries have become very popular in the field of mobile technology. These cells are powerful, light and small, and they do not have any memory effects. Most high-end phones today come with this battery. The cost might be the only drawback associated with these batteries but they still make up for that with their best performance.
Lithium Polymer
These batteries are definitely the newest in the market today. Most of the smartphones use this battery. Discounted or used phones may not really work with this type of a battery. These batteries are still rare to find but as time goes by, many manufacturers are seen integrating this battery in their handsets.
Whichever the battery you are using, the best thing is to ensure that your battery is fully charged all the time so that at least you are assured of constant communication. A fully charged battery determines the usability and performance of your phone. This is the care regardless of whether you own a new or discounted mobile phone. Make sure the battery is discharged fully before you can even think of recharging.

When I was purchasing gadgets I first take a look at the batteries and I always prefer to use Lithium Ion battery because it can last long unlike the others. What can be the benefit of choosing the right battery to your own gadget? Thanks for sharing this information.

Batteries are the bottleneck of mobile devices.Draining your battery life can be as frustrating as forgetting it at home. It also ensures that the electrical circuits get the right voltage, so you can guess how important they are.
