The world’s largest smartphone maker, Samsung, has unveiled Samsung Galaxy Beam, a smartphone cum projector handset at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012 in Barcelona. The phone has a dual core 1GHz CPU, 4-inch Super AMOLED Capacitive touchscreen, 5 mega-pixels rear camera running on Android v2.3 Operating system.
The above features are common in every mid/high range android phones but the ultra-bright, 15 Lumens projector that allows you to project 50-inch wide HD images and videos on the wall is what that makes the Samsung Galaxy Beam different from any other smartphone available.
With the Galaxy Beam, people can share content from their smartphone with people around them, using it like a pocket projector to create shared experiences – whether that’s watching movies, sharing holiday snaps or a spontaneous presentation, said Simon Stanford, Samsung’s UK telecoms chief
