10 Super Cool Gadgets at CES 2016

CES this year was nothing like before! It was as if the products of really witty brains (and hard work) had been brought under one roof. Gadgets ranging from 3D printers, and health-oriented items to drones and AR/VR headsets, we found the most remarkable of gadgets in our whole lives. (We mean it)

Here’s a list of the 10 coolest devices we saw at the event.

1. EHang 184 by Ehang Company

Built by the Chinese UAV company EHang, this autonomous  EHang 184 is the size of a human being. Accordingly, it has the ability to carry a single passenger at 60 MP, for 23 minutes. It also has gullwing doors and fold-up arms. (Super cool, no?)

 

2. Google Project Tango Phone by Lenovo

The much awaited Project Tango by Google was also introduced at CES this year. And what else could qualify for our ‘cool-gadgets-list’ if not this! A phone that will cost less than $500 and has all enticing features will be out before you even know. Although the company unleashed few details about the device, one of the five models was presented in detail to the audience at the conference.

 

3. Varia Vision Headset by Garmin Ltd.

Varia Vision headset, a product of Garmin Ltd, is an augmented reality display that you put on your sunglasses. Not only do these look after your wellbeing, they also signal and guide you about any obstacles, i.e. traffic and directions respectively. Being released in Q1 2016, Varia Vision headset is what every cyclist would want!

 

4. Disco Drone by Parrot

Remember we talked about drones in the start? Well, here’s the sort you have no idea about! Disco drone by Parrot, weighing merely 700 grams, is designed to be one of the swiftest and most lightweight gadgets in the history of drones. (not exaggerating) Flying for as long as 45 minutes, this little object can reach a speed up to 50 MP. With a fast paced engine and fixed wings, Disco also has a 1080p 14-megapixel camera.

 

5. Smart Helmet by Daqri

Ever wanted to be a smart industrial worker? Well, to add to your smartness, there is this smart helmet by Daqri. Not only will it project important information to you, it will also protect you against heavy and dangerous machines with its hard hat and safety goggles.

 

6. Nima by 6SensorLabs

This Nima device, a crafty production of 6SensorLabs, is used to test gluten in food with  disposable pods and antibody-based test. That too in less than 2 minutes! This brilliant device could help save the lives of those with Celiac disease or gluten sensitivity. No wonder, 6SensorLabs triumphantly went home with a $50,000 Hardware Battlefield grand prize. Good work!

 

7. GoSun Stove

Tired after an aerobics workout or managing your pool and looking for diet food? This stove is what you need, because it requires no monitoring! This stove is a very creative and an unconventional one! With a cylinder that heats up by sunlight, this stove has a solar powered grill. The cylinder takes 10 to 20 minutes for warming up to 550 degrees. The food placed inside the solar tube cooks by absorbing the heat from the cylinder. (Well, almost) With three metal bristles, this robot moves around on the grill cleaning it. It has a timer, a rechargeable battery, three electric motors and an LCD alarm which allows you to leave it unsupervised. But this robot functions merely on surfaces that are lower than 200 degrees. (If this isn’t cool, I don’t know what is!)
